Comments policy
TurbineWire comments are for professional, factual discussion of aviation occurrences. Every comment is reviewed before publication; we may decline, edit for length, or remove any comment at our discretion.
Not allowed
- Profanity, harassment, hate speech, threats, or sexual content.
- Personal information: names, addresses, phone numbers or social accounts of crew, passengers, families or witnesses (no doxxing).
- Graphic descriptions or images of injuries or remains.
- Speculation assigning blame to named or identifiable crew before an official finding.
- Spam, advertising, affiliate links, or more than one link per comment.
- Impersonation, or claims to be an official investigator without proof.
Encouraged
- Links to official sources (NTSB, FAA, BEA, AAIB, operator statements).
- Corrections with a source — these may trigger a card Update.
- Operational context from experience, clearly labeled as opinion.
Moderation
Automated filters and anti-spam checks (Cloudflare Turnstile, rate limits) screen submissions; flagged comments are held for human review. Email addresses are used only for moderation and never displayed. Report a problem: use the contact on the About page.
